Get a fitness partner.  Choose an active sibling, a same-minded friend, a health-conscious office buddy, a dedicated member of your cycling club, a supportive spouse or a qualified personal trainer.  Important:  Make sure he or she is just as enthusiastic, as safety conscious, and just as goal-oriented as you are.  Having a "partner in crime" could turn out to be the single best way in which to stay motivated, informed, and understood from now until next New Year's Eve.
